Biography of Speaker: Femke van den Bos is a data scientist and development economist with a strong background in econometrics, operations research, and economics for development. Holding an MSc in Econometrics and Operations Research from Groningen University (Netherlands) and an MSc in Economics for Development from Oxford University, Femke has worked across several data-driven roles, including at the Ghana Statistical Service as an ODI Fellow. During her time at GSS, she contributed significantly to strengthening economic statistics, particularly in trade data, and developed strategies for transforming raw data into insightful reports. Currently, she works as a Research Assistant at the World Bank, focusing on impact evaluations. With a passion for making data accessible, Femke is committed to equipping others with the skills to turn complex data into compelling stories, which will be the focus of this webinar.
