About the Speaker

Dr. Niagia Santuah is the Head of the Department of Culture and Development Studies at the Millar Institute for Transdisciplinary and Development Studies in Bolgatanga. He also serves as an adjunct professor at the School of Public Health, C.K. Tedam University of Technology and Applied Sciences, and the School of Public Health, University for Development Studies.

With over 25 years of experience in West Africa, Dr. Santuah is a communication scientist and food systems analyst specializing in evidence-based decision-making, implementation science, and development communication. He has an extensive background in teaching, research, capacity building, project management, and health service operations for last-mile communities.

An award-winning journalist of international renown, he has been widely published in scientific, development, and journalistic peer-reviewed journals. Currently, he serves as the Communications and Dissemination Expert for the African Health Initiative Community of Practice, leading efforts to translate research outputs into meaningful policy and practice.
