Call for Research Proposals
The Sustaining the African Health Initiative (AHI) Community of Practice (CoP) invites applications for small grants to support implementation science projects with the potential for scale-up and substantial impact.
We seek innovative proposals that address key challenges in health systems, with a focus on:
🔹 Quality improvement
🔹 Effective utilization of data
🔹 Scaling up successful health interventions
We encourage fresh perspectives and sustainable approaches to these areas. Projects must be completed within 12 months.
Eligibility Criteria
✅ Resident researchers in Ghana are eligible.
✅ Proposals building on existing AHI-supported projects are encouraged.
✅ Preference will be given to early-career researchers and members of our Community of Practice (CoP).
✅ Research teams must include a health policymaker or practitioner.
✅ Proposals must show collaboration with policymakers or respond to a data request from health sector policymakers or practitioners.
Application Requirements
To apply, submit a detailed research proposal that includes:
✔️ A clear research question
✔️ A comprehensive methodology
✔️ An outline of potential impact on health systems
✔️ Curriculum vitae for all project team members
✔️ Project timelines
✔️ A budget and budget justification
All submissions will be rigorously reviewed by Country Technical Teams and the Strategic Advisory Committee to ensure we fund projects with the highest potential for success and impact.
